There is no evidence the dinner was celebrated again in 1622. Probably not in the mood! Harvest was disappointing that year.
No one is sure if they ate turkey or not at the first dinner, but if they did, it was only a side dish.
The main dish was deer, not turkey during the first dinner.
19th century artists painted them with black clothing and buckles to relate with being old fashioned, they didn’t look like that.
The first dinner was not in November, but in between late september and the middle of october.
Pilgrims did not call themselves Pilgrims, they called themselves “Saints.” The term Pilgrims wasn’t used until the 20th century.
Americans eat approximately 45 million turkeys on Thanksgiving.
